Fairscore x Fairmoove: Our Environmental Compass

You can’t improve what you don’t measure. That’s why PlanB Living Chamonix, like all properties in the Mont-Blanc Collection group, uses the Fairscore methodology developed by Fairmoove.

This independent tool quantifies the actual carbon footprint of a night’s stay with us (breakfast included), based on verifiable data. This score isn’t just for show—it’s our roadmap for making progress, year after year, toward a more sustainable and responsible hospitality industry.

We actively support local organizations, athletes, and events that bring the Chamonix Valley and the Mont Blanc region to life:

1% Mont-Blanc, an organization founded by Florio Hummel-Azaïs, brings together more than 300 young people from the valley to work on value-creating projects.
Léo Slemett, a skier with a passion for the mountains and challenges, has been a supporter of PlanB from the very beginning.
Merlin Surget and the Surget Team, with PlanB serving as their base camp.
The Les Pionniers hockey team, a Chamonix institution with a history spanning more than 110 years.

Training and developing our teams: apprentices, interns, young people changing careers... PlanB Living Chamonix is committed to passing on expertise in the hospitality and restaurant industry. We also encourage internal mobility within the Mont-Blanc Collection group, to allow everyone to grow and discover our various roles and properties.

A Local Environmental Focus

Environmental stewardship is also built through small, everyday actions, in collaboration with the valley’s stakeholders. AlongsideEcotrivelo, a Chamonix-based pioneer in composting, PlanB is one of the valley’s first food waste collection points.

We also support Toits des Cimes, a community-based cooperative founded in 2021 that develops renewable energy projects in the valley, starting with a solar power plant consisting of 544 panels installed on the roof of the Chamonix Municipal Technical Center.
