Chamonix Film Festival

For five days, the 2026 Chamonix Film Festival will transform Chamonix into a true gathering place for enthusiasts of the mountains, the outdoors, cinema, and adventure.

A welcoming, multi-purpose space in the heart of the valley, PlanB Living Chamonix is once again hosting several workshops and festival highlights this year. The diverse program combines photography, writing, cartography, discussions on inclusion in the mountains, and hands-on outdoor workshops.

Upcoming at PlanB:

• Exhibition “A Thousand Words”
  An immersion in mountain photography through the lenses of Matt Sharman, Vittorio Sella, and Hamish Frost.
• 
  Professional Day A day dedicated to professionals in the mountain and adventure film industry to discuss filmmaking, production, and the challenges facing the sector.
• 3rd Social and Solidarity in the Mountains Day
  Organized in partnership with the Petzl Foundation, this event highlights initiatives that promote social inclusion through mountaineering.
• Le Verre des Montagnardes
  An opportunity to meet and share experiences related to women’s outdoor activities, in collaboration with the Femmes en Montagne festival.
• 
  Writing Workshop A creative workshop based on the famous “exquisite corpse” exercise, led by Pascale Farges and Hervé Bodeau.
• 
  Outdoor Clothing Repair Workshop Presented by Patagonia, to learn how to extend the life of your technical gear.
• 
  Mapping & Hiking Workshop Presented by Whympr, to learn the basics of map reading and route planning in the mountains.
